Professor Kyoung Mu Lee has received the Korean Scientist and Engineer of the Month Award (이달의 과학기술인상) from the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea (Feb. 2018).
The award has been established to promote the morale of science and technology people by discovering and rewarding those who have contributed to the development of science and technology with excellent research and development achievements.
Professor Lee has been evaluated as contributing to the advancement of image processing by developing a technique that can restore vivid images even if the resolution is lowered through the AI learning algorithm.
