Center for Machine Vision Research (CMV) at the University of Oulu is 
searching for

A POST-DOC RESEARCHER

with expertise in computer vision and in particular biomedical image 
analysis. The task of the researcher is to develop 3D cell tracking and 
mitosis detection algorithms. The candidate is expected to have a PhD in 
computer science or electrical engineering with previous experience and 
publications on computer vision. Programming skills with C/C++/Matlab 
are respected. Also, good knowledge of spoken and written English is 
required.

Duration of the contract is one year, but it can be continued depending 
on the progress in research and funding available. Starting salary is 
currently 2800-3400 euros per month (before tax) depending on the 
qualifications.

CMV (former Machine Vision Group) provides an inspiring and 
international research environment. Our mission is to carry out leading 
edge long term research on machine vision technology, with an aim of 
bringing the results of the research close to applications. For example, 
our pioneering work on Local Binary Pattern (LBP) has been widely cited 
in the scientific literature, and it has been applied in many areas of 
image and video analysis.
